Altman 701
The #701 portable blacklight is a four foot fluorescent lighting device
which produces a wash of near ultraviolet light for effect. Ultraviolet
light waves cause white reflective and specially treated surfaces to
fluoresce while dark or absorptive surfaces become invisible. The lamp,
a F 40 B/LB, contains an integral filter to eliminate any harmful
ultraviolet while maximizing the near ultraviolet effect. Effective
distance for the #701 is 4 to 10 feet from the subject. Common usage for
the #701 is to line the stage front with a number of luminaires to act
as ultraviolet footlights.

Altman 705
The Altman UV-705 is a compact, high output
blacklight floodlight. It is designed to provide a wash of high
intensity illumination of fluorescent materials at distances up to 40
feet. The luminaire does not require any fans for cooling, resulting in
extremely quiet operation. The UV-705 comes equipped with an easy-to-use
focusing mechanism that allows for adjustments from wide to very wide
flood settings. A special lens filters out harmful UV-B and UV-C
wavelengths and almost all visible light, and is provided with an
integral wire mesh safety screen.

Altman 703
The Altman UV-703 is a compact, high output fresnel
blacklight. It is designed to provide high intensity illumination of
flourescent materials at distances up to 150 feet. The fixture does not
require any fans for cooling, resulting in extremely quiet operation.
The fixture is equipped with barndoor rollers and an integral wire mesh
safety screen in front of the lens. The ballast is simple to operate
with a single on/off switch with a standard edison connector installed.
A special fresnel lens filters out harmful UV-B and UV-C wavelengths and
almost all visible light.
